D-A-D and THE 69 EYES together for the first time in Portugal for two unmissable shows in January 2026
Cowpunks and Glampires Tour finally arrives in Porto and Lisbon with two heavyweights of Scandinavian rock
The celebration of legendary rockers D-A-D's four-decade career continues in 2026 with a long-awaited return to the road and Portuguese stages — this time, with the luxurious company of iconic Finnish goth rockers THE 69 EYES. Early next year, this cult duo will embark on a co-headlining tour across Europe under the name Cowpunks And Glampires Tour 2025, with two exclusive stops in Portugal: January 16th at Hard Club, and the very next day, January 17th, at LAV - Lisboa ao Vivo, in Porto and Lisbon, respectively.
Gates are scheduled to open at 7pm on both dates, with shows starting at 8pm.
This double event marks the debut on national soil of one of the most intense rock'n'roll packages of the season, bringing together two bands with distinct but convergent legacies. The Danish band D-A-D are a true institution of European hard rock. With a career spanning over forty years and a critically acclaimed new album — "Speed Of Darkness," released by AFM Records — the musicians continue to prove that time has only given them more strength and creativity. The latest album has already been described as “a masterclass with no weak moments” by Get Ready To Rock, from the United Kingdom, and “no fillers, just anthems” by Rock Hard Magazine, from Germany). The enthusiasm for the quartet's new phase was, in fact, quite clear in a packed performance at the Royal Arena in Copenhagen, which will be released on vinyl and CD later this year.
Joining them on this tour is the darkly charming THE 69 EYES, who have already carried with them more than three decades of an aesthetic somewhere between Scandinavian goth and Los Angeles glam rock. With Jyrki 69 at the helm, the ambassadors of Finnish dark rock recently released "Death Of Darkness," an album that celebrates "the nocturnal side of love, glamour and the supernatural." Over the decades, their unique fusion of morbidity and sensuality has won fans across a range of genres—from metal to rockabilly—and cemented their status as one of Northern Europe's most charismatic acts.
In a statement, both bands express their excitement about this historic collaboration. "We've wanted to do this for years. Both bands have survived it all and come back stronger. Join us for intense nights, together, coming out of the darkness!" D-A-D comments. THE 69 EYES, in turn, recognizes the enormous influence of the Danes on their formation: "D-A-D was an inspiration from the beginning. The call of the wild reached us—and we understood it," they assure. This will be, without a doubt, a rare opportunity to see two forces of Nordic rock come together live and in color in a vibrant show full of history. The night promises to be long — and the memories, even longer lasting.
