Whitney Johnson, Lia Kohl and Macie Stewart form a trio that uses string instruments, vocals, and hands-on tape effects processing to create compositions from improvised music that shifts between tranquil and unsettling moments. Each of the three artists has individual roots in sound exploration and multidisciplinary composition. The musical spectrum covered by their solo practices is vast, and their individual recording and performance credits read like a true who's who, ranging from the DIY scene to renowned figures in the experimental avant-garde, electronic music, indie rock, and beyond.
The concert will take place at the Documentation Centre of the Bissaya Barreto House-Museum (R. Infantaria 23, 3000-219 Coimbra). Doors open 30 minutes before the performance.
