Sara Correia is making her debut on the country's biggest stage. This will be the presentation concert for her fourth album, as yet unnamed, due to be released in the last quarter of this year.
This is recognition of the rise of the fado singer who, since 2019, when she released her debut album of the same name, has travelled the world to great acclaim, praised by the public, critically acclaimed and awarded by the industry. She was nominated for a Latin Grammy on her second album, gathered some of today's best lyricists and composers around her and made fado her home. She made her biggest tour in 2024, with more than 80 concerts, including 4 sold-out dates at the Coliseu in Lisbon and Porto. Recently nominated for the PLAY - Portuguese Music Awards in the categories of Best Album of the Year with ‘Liberdade’ and Best Female Artist, Sara Correia can be said to have created her own colour in everything she sings in a unique range, from traditional fado to collaborative songs such as ‘Respirar’, the most recent single released in collaboration with Calema.
On stage, together with her band - Diogo Clemente on fado guitar and artistic direction, Ângelo Freire on Portuguese guitar, Frederico Gato on acoustic bass and Joel Silva on drums - Sara Correia presents a uniform and cohesive show, but tinged with many different colours and textures that are the result of subtle experiences and influences from other genres. All of this fits into Sara Correia's fado, all of it resonates in her soul that lives fully and overflows with freedom.
